About us

NSW state parks are managed on behalf of the Land and Property Management Authority to provide access to some of the most beautiful and pristine locations in Australia for recreation.

State parks offer fun and affordable activities such as picnics, BBQs, camping, water sports and bush walks in serene and tranquil locations.

Situated less than six hours from Sydney, seven state parks are located on inland water sources, each having caravan and camping facilities, and providing some of the best fishing in the State.  Ten state parks are dotted along the New South Wales coastline.  The state parks on the north coast range from four and a half star accommodation at Coffs Coast State Park, to primitive camping at Goolawah State Park, situated near Crescent Head, location of the famous Crescent Head Surfing Reserve.   Surfing reserves are also located in Sydney at Cronulla State Park and on the south coast at Killalea State Park.  See our state parks poster state parks poster (PDF 531 kb) for information and ideas about our great state parks.

Our state parks provide a range of recreation facilities perfect for day trips and visitor accommodation such as caravan and camping sites, bungalows and cabins, for longer holidays.
